Introduction

The last project of our senior year is the Zenith project. What the Zenith project is in general is the project where we get to do whatever we want to do as long as its something that we are able to do at school and at home. It is called the Zenith project because its the project where we get try new things and explore new ways to create art. Once we finish with our projects we do a celebration with everybody in the film room and present our final projects to everyone at freestyle so that they get to see what we are capable of making.

My Project

For my project I chose to make a charm bracelet and a charm necklace. Some of the charms for both the bracelet and the necklace would be made out of shrink plastic. Then the rest would be made out of beads. This particular project is a passion for me because whenever I see something on Instagram or TikTok that catches my eye and it influences me to try it out for myself but sometimes i get caught up with school work and I usually never have time to do them. So this project is perfect for me because I finally get the chance to do something that I never had the time to do.

Reflection

Overall, I think that my final product turned out pretty good and I’m very proud of the end results. The process of making my charm bracelet and necklace was really fun for me. I think that the funnest part of my project was probably watching my charms shrink in the toaster oven. During the project though I had to overcome a small mistake in one of the charms. I tried fixing it by making a new one but it didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to so I just went with the original one. After encountering that mistake I learned that sometimes you just have role with them because making mistakes is part of the process of making art. That being said, I hope that I can make more kinds of jewelry or accessories in the future.
