Hello! My name is Sophia Kwong. I am currently a senior at MVHS and Freestyle Academy. At Freestyle my elective is Design and so far it’s very fun even though originally I wanted to do Animation. I have an obsession with anything that is Disney themed, Pokemon themed, Pusheen the cat themed, and Hello Kitty/Sanrio themed. I like listening to mostly pop music on spotify. My core values in life are enjoyment, focus, and achievement.

Outside of school I like to watch Disney Channel, watch youtube, or play video games on my phone or Ipad because I get bored very easily. I also like to go shopping with my family and watch a movie or play card games and board games with my friends.

My expectations for myself as a Freestyle student is that I am able to complete my assignments and that I can follow instructions the way they are shown to me. I see myself growing technically and artistically by practicing and getting help from teachers or classmates if I have a problem with my computer or need help with something that I’m doing in a certain application.

Things that I value about being a Freestyle student is that I’m around people that are willing to help me and that I can ask for help anytime whenever I need it.

Freestyle Reflection

During my Junior and Senior years at MVHS Freestyle was an amazing experience for me and I really enjoyed my time while I was there. I loved learning about new ways to create our own artwork and I loved making all kinds of artwork instead of learning just one kind of art. Freestyle has influenced me to continue making art and using the skills I learned at Freestyle to help me with my future careers or jobs.

My advice for the Juniors who are going to be seniors next year would be to not leave things till the last minute because you can get very stressed and then it gets hard to keep up with other stuff.
