This is it, the projects of projects. The definition of Zenith means the highest point. What is my highest point. Originally before the project even started I wanted to make a fighting animation short. But I felt like that was way to big of a jump. After all, the thing that worries me the most is that we all have a very small time budget. I am somewhat satiated with my Zenith project. I wish that I only new how long it was going to take.
Pre Zenith
The Monster sound topic was not my first Idea. Originally I have a whole story board fully fleshed out. But I will not put that in the website because it is pretty massive, its around 75 MB. Whenever your making a story, your first attempt will likely turn out trash, and that is totally okay, that the whole idea of the posses when your are designing a story. I first showed my first draft to my Dad, he said that he cared more of the nature of the story rather than the main character. If it was not for the revision then the story would be completely flawed. Next I recreated the entire story board from start to finish. Then I revised it again, this time I wanted to make some additional changes, like how does the protagonist move, all of these little details. I redesigned the story again and again, until I was satiated. The design of the protagonist who I recently name Xahyna [za-he-na] was a bunch of back and forth. The thing that everyone should know about character design is that if you think that your design is peak, you can push it a little further. Another thing I noted about designing characters like her is that they evolve over time. I first came up with her way back in middle school. She look completely different, and that is a very satisfied thing to observer. The theme I was trying to go for Xahyna was both a mix of cute curious and creepy. I ended up with exactly that unintentionally. I’m so glad that I ended up with that theme because in my opinion that’s what’s the most appealing part of this character.

Background
Most of these backgrounds are unused. For each of these backgrounds it takes around 3 to 4 hours to complete. I learn a lot about designing backgrounds, the composition, texturing, everything.

My Animatic
This animation took all of my winter break to complete because I had to revise it in order to improve the quality of the direction of the story.
Animation
When I first started this project I knew that animation take a long time. What I didn’t know was how long. Before I started working on the project itself, I first created a test animation in Blender Grease Pencil. With all the extremes, in between, keying, cleanup, and coloring, that animation alone took two weeks to complete. The polish was the easiest and the most satisfying as it all comes together.

Sound design:
Sound design is a very experimental possess. The hardest part with Sound Design is executing the exact sound that you in visioned it in you mind. In order to create my own unique monster sound I first garbed some actors as soon as possible because I wanted to make time doing the animation. Then after we did the vocals, I took some of the vocals, went to adobe additions, and add some reverb and P.E. On top of the base I added extra audio like a deflated balloon, lion and some synth to give the sound more personality and power.

Conclusion
Artistes will never have enough resources, and time to create a project that will satisfy them. With sound effects I want to create a comic with the already made animatic that I already made with some miner additions.
