Now as an artist, I wanted to try to create something that no one had ever done before. As an artist I wanted to become more distinct than everyone else. But sometime, I would puss my self too hard occasionally. Just because for certain projects I would have a mind set where I want to give the teachers more that they would ask for. Sometimes it works. Others time, there was a point where I was biting off more that I can chew. I’ve learned how to use a cannon camera pretty quickly. Though, I don’t like taking pictures that much. I learned many new things in Photoshop that were pretty useful that I did not know through the past 3 years of experience. Throughout those 3 years, I really am starting to really like drawing on Photoshop more than hand drawing. Because it’s less messy. I got really comfortable with color pallets. Because I did not know how to fully use them before.
Poetry
Obviously for this project, we had to make a poem base of our experience in life. Well, that is what I did. The poem I created Is called “The House Pest”, which was inspired by the heat wave I had at my town during the month of august. When ever I thought about humans as an over all species. It leaves me questioning. What did we do wrong on this earth. Why are we here, and what is our main goal. To consume every last crumb of resources on this planet? That’s how I see it. No after I created this poem I knew that I would be life changing. It only defined the past tense as we did as a species. Now I’m not saying all of us are bad and should not exist. I’m trying to explain, that we multiply and consume resources a little to much.
Photo Haiku & Video
This project was assigned from English class. Well, just the photo in general. The video was assigned from digital media. During my early days at freestyle, I was already experience stress and anxiety. And to make a poem with three sentences with 5, 7, 5 syllables was no problem. Just connect the dots. Now that might not be that hard for some people. For me was a piece of cake. I just had to write it down on a piece of paper. Make some adjustments, and share it to the class. After we did the photo haiku for english, I moved on to the video production. Now I saw that a lot of people were using a photo as a background. However, I though doing that would be boring. Even though I was in design class at that time, I made and animation. And here it is.
