Me?
I am Vivian. I moved to the U.S. in 2016 with my family from Taiwan. I have loved watching animation since I was a little, cute, and chubby baby. Even though I am not that good at drawing like everyone else at Freestyle, I am definitely as passionate as everyone. I hope I can learn a lot about animation and technology techniques at Freestyle and go to my dream school. Working at Pixar is my biggest dream. It might be super hard to achieve my dreams, but I will keep trying until I succeed.
Outside of Freestyle and school, I love to watch movies, both animation and film. I really like “Shrek” because it is amazing and Shrek himself is a good role model with his different layers of personality, like an onion. But my favorite animation movie will always be “Up” because it is such a heartwarming movie. Beside watching movies, my biggest hobby is everything that is related to KPOP. I love to learn the dances and listen to songs from many groups.
What Did I Value About Being A Student At Freestyle?
Being able to learn at Freestyle was such a unique experience that not everyone can have. That is why I valued hardworking and passion strongly. I believed that I had to be hardworking at Freestyle since there was A LOT of work to do at Freestyle. It was also important to be passionate about what I was doing so I would not give up on what I love.
Reflection
I am just so glad I got the unique opportunity to join Freestyle. If I didn’t join Freestyle, I wouldn’t have learned all the skills Freestyle has taught me and been sure that I am going to pursue my animation career. I am super excited to continue my study in animation and I will never forget how Freestyle significantly helped me through my career path.
