About Me

I’m Ynez, a first year senior in animation at Freestyle. I was originally in film, but quickly realized that art kids fit best in art classes. I’ve taken art classes every year since fourth grade, but only two years ago did I ever animate my first work. Aside from art, I like reading, narrative writing, and baking, though art is usually what I spend my free time on- except during track season, where free time is little. I really value honesty, humor, and independence, in myself, and in others.

Outside of school, I still enjoy making art, though usually less creatively. I love painting, sketching, and digital art especially. Art aside, I love narrative writing, reading, and baking. Most of my hobbies slow during track season, when free time becomes very little. I’ve been on varsity for three years, and by the end of this one, it’ll have been four. I really love high jump, and I’m convinced it’s the best event in track.

I’ve learned so much more from freestyle than I ever could have on my own, even in such a short amount of time. I think I’m known for being technologically disadvantaged, so learning all these computer programs has been vital. I really hope to continue this, and I’m sure that this knowledge will be imperative as the technology advances astronomically every year. Even without all these academic opportunities, I’ve made some great friends through Freestyle, and all the students here have some kind of understanding just from attending the same class.
