I have always been a mixed bag. I’m literally mixed, White and Asian with hints of Native American. The lighting is intentionally dark with an overwhelming light in the center photo. The objects were chosen based on their relevance to my life. I’ve been Buddhist for a good portion of my life and have kept my cultural ties to the earth. The abundance of plants, ranging from native tropical to dessert was supposed to talk about my dad’s side of the family being explorers. and how I’ve traveled from place to place in my life. The sage represents the Native American that I have, I am specifically from the Cherokee tribe.
