This is all so underwhelming. As a child, I was promised happiness and safety. My oldest memory is of my neighborhood running down the road after a man had stolen her car. My second oldest memory is being punched in the face in my taekwondo class. My parents have told me that I remember every terrible memory out of spite of them. I truly can’t remember. The college will be new. I’ll make happy memories and make a home for myself.
