The Reflections unit revolved around self reflection and expression. In English we explored ourselves through reading and writing. We were prompted to reflect on our most important values, something that I now realize everybody should do every once in a while. We stemmed from that to then writing essays on our beliefs and why we believed them. We then wrote our Personal Essay traditionally for college applications. This is where we got the chance to summarize our entire lives into 650 word essays (I struggled with the word limit, if you can’t tell). In Digital Media we explored our personal self expression through digital art, such as mandalas and Photoshop paintings. This gave us the chance to freely illustrate whatever we wanted in a new and unique way. Finally, in Design we built off of our “This I Believe” essays and made a PSA to promote that belief.
