As a first year senior, I had little experience to work with this year in film. Luckily, Mr. Taylor started our year off with some short and fun introductory projects. We had a lot of short films that we made in class, that usually had much less planning that our other assignments. Later in the year we had the Narrative and Zenith projects, which I felt more prepared for.

This was our first project of the year, we were challenged with making a movie in 1 period.

Our next mini-project was the 1 Minute Movie, which was fun because we got into groups, and then we would constantly switch around the things we made with other groups to create the final product. So each group ended up being involved in every other movie in some way.

This was our lighting scavenger hunt, which was a little more technical. We used a variety of industry level lights to create certain types of lighting situations.

Next, we made a dialogue scene. This was a script that Mr. Taylor had written, and we got into groups to film it in our own interpretation. I got a lot of experience using sound devices and video editing softwares like Premier Pro.

Finally, we made our Senior Narrative, which was our longest project. We had to make storyboards, recruit a cast, check-out any equipment we needed, and pick out sets and filming dates. After all that we still had to edit the footage and add our own audio. This was the first time I had done a project of this scale and I learned a lot from it.
