The idea of this photo was to make it seem as if the tape roll is levitating under the desk light, or perhaps being magnetically attracted to it. The setup for this was quite simple–I actually attached a piece of tape from the roll to suspend it from the light. In Photoshop, I used generative AI to edit out the connecting tape, resulting in this illusion. I also made sure that the tape and light were the main subjects of the photo through depth of field.
