To create this photo, I mounted my camera on a tripod and used a long exposure time (5 sec) to capture the movement of the light I was holding. I tried to draw a star shape, which makes it look kind of like a firework but also represents a fresh start for 2024. I wanted this photo to look very simple as a result to help focus the mind on what’s ahead.
