This is a close-up photo of a pair of socks lying on the floor, taken from an angle where the room seems quite large. Using depth of field is a very convincing method of creating false perceptions of space, which the camera does automatically when it is zoomed in to a smaller object. In this case, perspective turns an otherwise mundane photo into a more interesting one.
