The inspiration for this photo knowing that it had to be a faceless portrait came from school. When I first thought about portraying myself without showing my face, I immediately imagined me in this situation. Although I am rarely studying for long periods of time, it is one of the only times where I feel that my identity is lost and I don’t have freedom of expression. Monotonous studying is one of my least favorite activities and thus I think suits a faceless portrait quite well.
