This is my mother and she is in a dark light showing mystery.

My Christmas tree without color. My cousin and little brother made this and put up pictures of our family.

This is my dad. He immigrated here from a small village in India when he was 19, living in an apartment with many of his brothers and cousins while he attended community college. In his village, his father was a teacher and a mechanic. Once my dad moved to the USA, he was without his parents for years until he finally finished college and was able to bring them to the US. Since then, he became an engineer.

This is a Gujarati styled peacock. All my life my grandparents would tell me stories of peacocks and birds; they were always the hero in the story. I still remember those stories til this day.

These flowers grow in our backyard on their own, they’ve been growing in the same spot ever since we moved in.

Her name is Katherine. She was born in Pasadena, CA and currently stays in Palo Alto. She went to SF State and in the past, she used to work in a chemical lab. Now, she is retired and likes to walk dogs, such as our dog. She is a very kind and amazing person.

This represents aging as a child as you can see there is a new pair and and old pair. The new pair is slightly bigger while the old are dirty and smaller. The old pair can represent earlier years of my childhood while the new ones are current.

This is the Indian god of dance. I chose this because of the silhouette as well as the meaning. This is the Hindu god Shiva in his form as the cosmic dancer, represented in metal or stone in many Shaivite temples, particularly in South India.

Ordered this peanut butter a week ago and it will be the new default peanut butter for me. So this basically is the new beginnings of peanut butter.
