Narrative Visual Perspective in Film

In Film class, we embarked on a six-month narrative project covering pre-production, production, and post-production phases. From pitching ideas to writing screenplays, engaging in table reads, honing camera skills over weeks of shooting, and finally editing, we underwent an extensive process. This project, spanning from November to April, challenged us with techniques in cinematography, lighting, narrative structure, and visual effects, ending in the creation of a 8-10 minute narrative story alongside a 10-page screenplay.

After pitching our story multiple times, Eva Halsey and I decided to create a funny, serious thriller about a woman who murders sex offenders.

Overall, I grew significantly as a writer, director, and collaborator throughout the duration of this project. I’m extremely proud of Tegan and I for overcoming challenges in our story and with our actors. We greatly improved our organization skills in all stages of production, yet we still managed to maintain our creativity and passion for the film.
