For this prompt, we had to compose our holiday traditions with balance. While we weren’t only allowed to do winter holiday traditions, I decided to base mine around Christmas mainly because it felt the most emotionally resonant to me at the time. Christmas as a holiday has been one my family has celebrated on and off again in the traditional sense because we are often either away from home or visiting other family. As a result, it’s been a while since we’ve had an actual standard Christmas at our house. I wanted to highlight the importance of having a regular Christmas this year by balancing a shot that displayed all of the Christmas lights, ornaments, and branches of the Christmas tree working in harmony.
