For this prompt, we had to tell a colorful story without using color. I decided to arrange my POSCA pens in a circle. While each pen is a different color, they all serve the same functional purpose in the end, to create. I felt that idea could be portrayed well through this prompt by forcing all of the colors to be restricted to grayscale so that they’d all be viewed nearly equally with some varying hues. I do find a lot of value in getting to see photography from another angle, and seeing it in black and white helps me think about how values impact my photographic work.
