For this prompt, we had to tell a story of stunning flowers. As a result, I decided to use this photo of a rose at Cuesta Park. I thought the surrounding darker greens complimented the red of the rose perfectly. I also loved the way the petals bloomed out. Taking this photo showed me the simple beauty we find through nature, and even something as small as a rose can be important enough to photograph and keep in the back of our minds. Roses are also an important flower to me since they’ve been attached to many things in my life, so it made sense to choose one for this prompt besides any other flower.
