Tell a Lie

Could it be a precious artifact? A museum display? No...it's just a street lamp at Shoup Park. A close up image of a street image at Shoup Park where the lamp is obscured in darkness, leading to the effect that makes it look more unique than it actually is.

For this prompt, we had to tell a lie with a photo. While I struggled greatly for finding something applicable to this prompt, I decided to choose something simple but also striking. I admire the simplicity in everyday architecture in objects and often think we take them for granted, so I thought this picture of a random street lamp that is set up to pass as perhaps a more important cornerstone of the park would be the perfect white lie to tell through photography. It gets the point across, in my opinion, while also admiring the simplistic beauty of the world around us.
