About Me

Yours Truly

Who are you? A question I’ve been asking myself numerous times over the years. I don’t exactly know who I am sometimes, but I do know I’m an average high-school student trying her best to fit in. I come from an interesting family, having close connections with my parents and my two older siblings. For years on end, I’ve been exploring different things that have seemed interesting and that I’ve grown attached to. Such as art itself, I’ve learned to love drawing, whether it’d be a simple doodle, or physical appearances of characters I’ve created through stories. Which takes me to my love of writing, wanting to be an author one day. I’m also just a simple friend who tends to roam around, wanting to be there for any of my friends that I’ve met. So who am I? I’m a student. I’m a kind yet interesting friend.  a proud daughter and a loving sister. I’m an artist. A soon to be author.

Some core values I have in my life are the value of creativity for the love of what I do. I value things like Family and friendship because I’ll always love my family and have them come first in my life to support them as they support me. Friendship is where I maintain healthy connections with others, inside and outside of school to have fun days and heartfelt conversations. It’s all about happiness and wanting to be free in my life, because I won’t be here forever, so I should at least make it count, living and laughing as much as I can.

During my time outside of school, I enjoy taking time to myself, when I’m not doing homework. You’d either find me lying around in bed, binge-watching my favorite comfort shows and movies, or up and about by my desk. Normally, I’m drawing and writing, thinking of ways to better improve my skills, and grow on the writing path to create something I enjoy. Another thing is I take outside classes one day every week, thanks to AVID, I had been introduce to an interesting program, Art Changes Us (ACU) in where you’d take numerous photos with just your mobile device. But in the sessions I take, we get to be messy and play with paints and color, participating in any project of ours that’ll eventually be held in an exhibit. I do it because I genuinely enjoy what we do, and being around the people there. But I don’t always spend my days constantly making art or writing, outside of school I take time to be around my family and friends, creating bonding moments to deepen the relationship I have with them and potentially maintain that through the years I get older.

As a Freestyle student, I hope to be able to build on my skills in creating art projects. Taking Animation, we do different projects every week, flip-books, cutouts, puppets, things that are in that animating range. I also expect to build on any skills regarding the computer, working with editing videos and building on websites such as this to get my work out there in the world. But how would I see myself growing? Well that’s easy, thanks to the teachers, I’ll eventually be able to reevaluate my current skills and better improve them for the future. In the technology range, I hope to see myself being able to build on websites later on and share things about myself to be seen. Artistically, I see myself fitting in now with what experience I already have in the art category, and better see how that’ll change with art styles, techniques and more.

Personally, as a Junior Freestyle student, I value the connections I’ve already made with the students around me everyday, making sure to treat everyone with respect. I also value the teachers for doing everything they can to help us and teach us important skills for later years to come. There’s amazing people within the freestyle community that deserve recognition and happiness. The work that we put in to create amazing projects, whether it’d be animation, designs, videos, stories, is all amazing when pieced together.
