Conceptual
Juniors were asked to experiment with various tools and mediums during the first few months at Freestyle Academy to discover creative and unique ways that would describe ourselves and figure out our goals. A way to show off everything we learned so far in each class.
Narrative
At Freestyle, we got to explore Storytelling through various ways that different mediums could express. Crafting short stores in English, to voice overs in Digital Media, we learned how to use softwares like Adobe Illustrator and other Adobe applications to create experiment music.
Documentary
A big project, other than Explorations where we got to research something that felt important to us and create short documentaries in different mediums based on Electives. In English, we wrote a research paper of our focus, and interview others that had a relative role in the topic. In Digital Media, we were tasked to make a magazine article, whereas in our Electives, we had to make something that told our story, or topic in a similar documentary form.
Explorations
Explorations is a big project for Juniors, as it’s the final project given before summer break. It was an opportunity for us to teach ourselves a new skill or learn a new topic that peaked our interests. It’s something that connects to each student’s passion, presented to all Juniors in different forms of medium.
