I didn’t want to go with an obvious portrait photo as much, rather something simple that represents someone close to me. For this entry, I chose to do my mom. As a celebration for her, we gathered together as a family, showing how much we love her. I don’t know the complete background about my mom’s life growing up, but I do know that she is one of the most hardworking people with the kindest soul through how she’s taken care of my family growing up.
In this specific photo, I started taking photos of the mini bundt cake, except I accidentally focused a bit more on the hands in the background. At first I ignored it, but looking back, I think I preferred this photo because it has my moms hand covered by my dad’s hand while they also hold onto their granddaughter, as if showing my mom being held close by those who love her.
