This week’s photo challenge prompt was to tell a story about our friends and family through a visual image. This is a story of summer, of water, of ambiguity; of impending doom derived from a sharp tree branch and a deflating tube.
Symmetry in a Facial Portrait
Facial symmetry has long been associated with beauty, and for this week’s photo blog, I wanted to test this conventional knowledge. Using photoshop, I edited a picture of my brother to achieve perfect symmetry, and compare the results.

We live in a world surrounded by geometry: the branch of mathematics concerned with the properties and relations of points, lines, surfaces, solids, and higher dimensional analogs. But geometry is not just a subject we learn in school. It is everything that surrounds us and makes us: it represents the perfections and soul of nature, the man made, and the human mind.
