In our weekly photo blog, one of the weekly challenges was to take photos of things, people, or places that inspire us in some way.
Gratitude
I’m grateful for my mom’s homemade food. She’s an amazing cook and I’m so lucky to be able to enjoy her food everyday. This is a photo of a squash soup with roasted chickpeas and parsley. I love the colors in the soup and thought […]
Who Inspires You
My mom inspires me. Instead of simply taking a portrait photo of her, I wanted to represent her through one of her ceramic pieces. This is one of my favorite pieces of hers because I love the face on the ceramic bowl, it kind of […]

Exit
The inspiration for this photo challenge was to take a photo of something that is “an exit into something else”. I think this photo captures that essence pretty well. I was on a hike at Castle Rock and I took this photo of my friend […]
Tell a Lie
This photo might seem like it wouldn’t fit the “Tell a Lie” category, but to me, lies are mysterious and the sky in this photo looks so mysterious. I took our my camera and took a photo while I was just staring at the clouds […]
Serenity
This photo makes me feel calm. I connect calmness with serenity, so I think this photo is well fit for that category. The sunset, the warm colors, my sister’s effortless handstand—it all screams serenity to me.
