My Culture

Mid Conversation – Circa July 2016

This image was taken in a Cafe within a popular Israeli Flee Market in Jaffa, Israel. Jaffa, known as Yafo is known as the southern and oldest part of Tel Aviv–Yafo, is an ancient port city in Israel. It was 2016, and I was just beginning to explore and immerse myself within photography, even if it was from my mothers iPhone 6. This photo portrays Israeli culture to me because it is very common to meet up with a friend and sit at a cafe and talk for hours about every aspect of life. Here, in the States, meeting up tends to be more formal and almost stressful. I enjoy reminiscing the days where I could meet a friend at a cafe and ramble for hours sipping an iced coffee.
