This week's photo challenge was to show color through a black and white picture. I chose this picture of the port in my hometown that I took during the break, because the use of black and white enhanced the textures of the ocean and the port so that the scenery becomes more expressive.
Color without Color- Port

For this week’s photo challenge, we were assigned to tell a colorful story through a black and white picture. I wanted to express color through defining the textures and the waves of the ocean, so that it paints a stronger picture of the scenery in the audience’s head. I took this photo of the port in my hometown when I traveled back to Japan over the break, and the different textures enhanced by the use of black and white allowed me to express what I saw in a different aspect.
