This week's assignment was to story-tell our individual cultures, and I chose to take a picture of a rural land-scape from the window of a train back when I travelled to Japan alone. Japanese trains carry and incorporate other cultures that has become my memory from childhood.
Train-Culture

For this week’s assignment, students were assigned to demonstrate our cultures through pictures. The picture above was taken from when I traveled to Japan over the break alone, where I rode a train to visit my hometown. Trains take a large part in Japan and the people living in Japan, in which I personally hold numbers of memories about travelling by myself on a train before I came to the states. Japanese trains holds its own unique history and developments that incorporate other aspects of Japanese cultures, from selling Bentou( Japanese lunchbox style food sold only in train stations) to the interior designs of the trains.
