This week's challenge was to take a photo that represented "exit" to ourselves, and I chose this picture of a shrine entrance that I used to visit often before I moved to the US. I recently had the chance to revisit this shrine and take a picture, and this picture was taken right when I was about to leave the shrine. Every time I cross the Shrine gateway, it feels as if I have crossed a border of reality to a place more sacred and comforting, and when I leave the shrine and cross the gateway again, I feel that I am somehow a newer version of me. This shrine means a lot to me because whenever I visited the shrine alone, it was a space for me to reflect myself.
