This photo demonstrates the use of negative space to create a stronger impression to the audience. The gray open sky and the gray concrete creates depth to the picture, and the negative space from below and above directs the audience's eyes to the two figures in the picture.
Rain- Negative Space Landscape

This week’s challenge was to demonstrate the use of negative space in a landscape for a powerful impression. This picture is a landscape that I took near the bay, and I liked the overall color pallet of the picture, because it was raining and the negative space of the gray concrete and the gray sky/scenery created a wider and a deeper perspective. I also think that the composition of the picture gave more perspective to the picture, leading the audience’s eyes to the two figures walking with the umbrella.
