Golden Hour

Golden hour is a special time in my backyard, this plant is called a bird of paradise. It’s big leaves are to capture light and maximize it’s potential for growth in typically tropical environments. It captures the light beautifully, making quite the sight to see from the kitchen.

shadows

Often I enjoy studying at the Los Altos community center after school. The woody simplistic architecture calms me and when I look at the window it’s funny seeing time go by as the shadows become more stark in the distance, covering the colorful furniture.

eyes

Whenever I look into my dad’s eyes, I get jealous that I didn’t inherit his green eyes. However, sometimes I remember how my grandma, when arguing with her sister, was always told her eyes looked like pickles in milk. So maybe not inheriting those light iris was a good thing after all.

White Balance

Since taking a picture in AWB is quite easy, I figured I should take a picture of simplicity. Thankfully after winter the persimmon tree becomes lively with bright leaves and captues light beautifully. I look forward for the autumn when the stunning orange fruits come to be shared.

Leading Lines

While the photo may seem almost like a water painting, it’s because it the reflection of fall trees in a large puddle after some morning rain. The ripples and long tree branches create leading lines to the big dark green tree in the bottom left area of the photo.

Visual Weight

The main subject is one of my teddies named Albert. He sits in my library next to my red desk and often wears a Christmas hat during the holiday season. In this photo he’s next to a lamp and pulls the main visual weight to himself by taking up most of the frame and having …
