I took this picture of my friend Natalie at the SF MOMA and her face is in the right third looking down. I thought this showed interesting emotion from Natalie as her expression contrasts that of the picture behind her.
For fill the frame, I decided to do a this picture. I chose it because the flowers take up a large portion of the frame and it has a lot of color filling up the frame as well.
For “Geometry”, I decided to take a photo of geometry in nature. Succulents have a very geometrical look to them and are usually very symmetrical. I thought this was the perfect example of geometry in because of all the natural shapes in nature.
I chose to take a picture of a sundial for leading lines because all the surrounding plants are sort of “pointing” to the sundial. All the stems and lines are going over and around it making the sundial the center of attention. I really like this picture because it’s intruiging.
I took this photo right after my chickens laid these eggs because I thought it was perfect for the rule of odds with the 5 of them. The fifth one gives it more depth and to me, photos look better asymmetrical in these cases.
I took this picture at Russian Ridge at 5pm and I think the use of negative space is really nice and you can still see some of the trees at the bottom of the photo.
For the center frame portrait, I took a picture of a burning candle in the foreground with other candles behind it and edited it a little in post to make it seem more isolated.
Every year for about 4 years, I’ve decorate my room for Christmas with lights all around my room, bells, tin signs and other Christmas decorations. I love decorating for Christmas because winter is my favorite time of the year and decorating is fun. It’s a tradition I uphold and will continue to do.
I tried my best with the space I had but I thought the legs of the chair facing out leads your eyes to the martian.
