For elements, I chose to take a picture of a wilted flower. I thought this was fitting since flowers grow from water and sunlight and yet are wilted away by the air and lack of water. I think flowers perfectly embody the effect of the elements.
What I think about gratitude, I think about all the opportunities I’ve gotten the chance to have. I got this painting in Paris when I got the opportunity to go there over the summer of 2022.
For who inspires me, I did my friend Alex. My friend Alex always pushes me to try my best and never fails to make me laugh. He also is willing to go out to lunch with me before freestyle so that’s always a plus.
For reflection, I decided to take a picture of me taking a picture of myself in the mirror!
For “Exit” I chose to take a picture of a dark walkway. I did this because I wanted to show depict the “there’s light at the end of the tunnel” type of feel. Perhaps the door works two ways and you are trying to escape the light. I like how this turned out because I see an exit as an escape from something, whether that be darkness or light.
For “Tell a lie”, I decided to take a plastic water bottle and place it in front of the lens. I thought it was cool spin on this because cameras are meant to capture things as they are but looking through the lens, everything is blurry and dreamlike.
I took this photo at Russian Ridge with the telephoto lens. I think this is perfect for serenity because for me, watching animals in nature is so peaceful and being able to capture those moments on camera is so cool to me.
I took this photo at Russian Ridge when the sun was close to setting so that the sun would shine on the birds feathers, giving it a pop of color. I didn’t put any sort of filter on this and I really like how this photo turned out.
For anonymous, I thought this was perfect because the way I interpret the word “anonymous” is unknown or non-identifiable and I thought this worked really well for it. I linked the picture to “anonymous’ because I saw it as like “non human” or something of that unidentifiable nature. I think this picture is very cool and captures the mystery of being “anonymous”
I got this golden paper bag to carry leftovers from a restaurant but when I came to eat the food later, I just shoved the bag to the side, damaging it. I took a picture of the trash, then threw it away,
