For this week, we have to talk about what we’re excited for the future. I chose to take a picture of my diploma and a photo booth picture of me and my boyfriend. I’m so excited to be going to college and graduating while remembering the people I love that got me here.
This week, we have to be inspired by food. I decided to take a picture of the inside of my fridge and take a picture of my two favorite drinks- lemonade and half&half. I liked the light of inside the fridge as it had a certain atmosphere.
For current events, I wanted to show how our world may seem like it’s thriving but in real life, it’s slowly dying. I used a picture of succulents I found in my backyard that seemed to be doing fine but were around of of these dead plants and roots. It shows how some parts of the world are affluent and well off whereas some parts are not but we’re all on the same earth.
For this week, I chose to be inspired by a microphone I have had in my room. I always have it set up in the same place in my room whenever I want to record. I have been using this microphone for the past 4 years now and I hope to create more music when I get the chance.
For this one, I decided to take a picture of a flower on a Manuka tree at my house. The small flower contrasts the bigger tree behind it. Manuka trees are known to make some of the best honey in the world which is another reason why I put small vs large because small bees will come and pollinate the flowers to make a great amount of honey.
For elements, I chose to take a picture of a wilted flower. I thought this was fitting since flowers grow from water and sunlight and yet are wilted away by the air and lack of water. I think flowers perfectly embody the effect of the elements.
What I think about gratitude, I think about all the opportunities I’ve gotten the chance to have. I got this painting in Paris when I got the opportunity to go there over the summer of 2022.
For who inspires me, I did my friend Alex. My friend Alex always pushes me to try my best and never fails to make me laugh. He also is willing to go out to lunch with me before freestyle so that’s always a plus.
For reflection, I decided to take a picture of me taking a picture of myself in the mirror!
For “Exit” I chose to take a picture of a dark walkway. I did this because I wanted to show depict the “there’s light at the end of the tunnel” type of feel. Perhaps the door works two ways and you are trying to escape the light. I like how this turned out because I see an exit as an escape from something, whether that be darkness or light.
