    film noir

1/200 f4.5 ISO160 This photo of my friend Yannick was originally taken around sunset, and the gray scale effect I added helped bring out the lighter back ground, and brought out the detailing in the outfit.

    long shutter speed exposure

1/10 f4.5 ISO160 This photo was taken by setting up my camera on a tripod and doing a series of poses with my gorgeous friend Whitney to capture our movement and the cute outfits we had on. By using a long shutter exposure the movements were carried out as there was more time elapsed to when the picture was actually taken.

    color without color

1.6, ISO 500, 1/30 I made this piece of artwork after I came back from the hospital due to health concerns, this piece was a reflection on how much time I had to spend recovering, due to the amount of time spent on details. I feel like this piece can be seen as having color even though none is there because the details pop out to you and cause you eyes to move about the page.

    friends and family

1.6, ISO 120, 1/300 On a very nice Saturday morning, my friends and I decided to go to Redondo Beach and have a nice picnic in Half Moon Bay, the walk down and back up was not made for the weak so as I was scaling down the mountain at a slower pace than my friends I decided to pull out my camera and snap a nice photo of them and the ocean in the background.

    your culture

1/120, f/1.6, ISO 100 Something in my childhood that has become a staple of my Culture is exploration, During the pandemic the only thing that my friends and I could partake in was biking around our town, exploring and finding hidden treasures and shortcuts that we still use today. This has forever changed my outlook on life for example when I am at home feeling overwhelmed or anxious going outside has always helped me and will be something I pass on to my friends and people I encounter in the future. This photo was composed to show the sunset in the back and the biker who is my friend Owen…

    stranger

f/3.5, 160,1/125 Before my friends and I were about to go to a dance I set two of them up to pretend they didn’t know each other and were waiting in the lobby for a job interview. I feel like both of their facial expressions give stranger vibes.

    aging

f/6, 160, 1/50. After we had some bad windstorms this house was revealed by a gate that got destroyed. I have never seen this house on my street although I have walked past it countless times. The house and the tree remind me of an old person, It is very pretty and mighty but you can tell it is old because of the details being washed away.

    new beginnings

f/4.5, 1/2,000, 200 I went to Mill Valley to visit a couple of friends, they told us we would be going to a viewpoint so I decided to bring my camera along. When we arrived I saw a large rock with a flat pile of dirt under it, some of my friends started jumping so I decided to put my camera into sport and photograph this. This is a liberating photo which is a feeling often associated with a new beginning.
