Humor

The Humor Project was used to keep a balanced workload between classes that still had meaningful lessons in English to be learned. We explored the writings of Kurt Vonnegut and Eugene Ionesco to see how they employed different humor techniques in their works. After reading and analyzing the play Rhinoceros and the novel Slaughter House Five, we began to work on our own humor project. First, we analyzed different forms of humor. Here’s a link to my analysis on two humorists I studied as well as my original project proposal. We were allowed to choose between a couple of different forms of comedy, including stand up, comedic narratives,  commencement speeches, and satire. I formed a group with two fellow Freestyle students, Tanshi and talar. We chose to do a comedic narrative in the form of a skit which you can watch below. Here’s a copy of our script.
