Ready Player One was the catalyst for my love of pop culture. Ernest Cline I would consider to be a “god of geeks” in my mind and the man who opened my mind to wondrous possibilities. No longer did “geek”, “nerd”, or “dork” sounded bad anymore. He had introduced to me to all sorts of 80s pop culture that I soon became obsessed. They would become the inspirations for my future creative works.
