Over labor day weekend 2022 I visited New York with my family. I mostly went to look at colleges but as I walked around It was clear to me that the New Yorker was different than the average American. Everyone carried themselves with a sense of pride, but not the cocky kind I was expecting. It was pride in themselves. People knew who they were and were unafraid to express it.
