 Credo

     I Believe

…That I did eat the whole thing
…That that’s what she said
…That the extent of your hardcore-ness lies in who you are, not what you do

…That Life is Groovy, but the groove is in 13/8 time and I haven’t rehearsed
…In thrift store shopping sprees
…In quadruple stuffed oreos
…That I shouldn’t be writing this on an empty stomach

…In peace, Love and Harmony, not a piece of love from E-Harmony
…That if war is the answer, then the question is a daily double
…That the revolution will not be televised,
but it might be blogged
…That its not butter

…In finding waldo
…In Freeing Shamoo

…That Dancing is even more fun when people are giving you weird looks
…That a spoonful of sugar helps the cherry coke go down
…In canned laughter at the wrong moments
…In living long and prospering

…I can fly
…That it’s a long way to the top (if you wanna Rock n’ roll)
…That we’re never Gonna survive (unless we get a little crazy)
…That if I made the world go dumb, I’d look a lot smarter

…In the second season of Metalocalypse
…In the great pumpkin
…In my grandma’s big fat toe

…That life is a tapestry of innocence and decadence
…That, in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make
…That that’s also what she said

[Credo Artist Statement]

To be honest, I find the Idea of making an artist statement on a credo to be a redundant and fairly pointless endeavor. This is because I've always sort of viewed the Credo as an artist statement on life. Just as your typical artist statement would probably include many comments on what my drives and motives were behind it as well as my stylistic choices that would back them up, my credo I feel includes similar comments with regards to both (such as "I believe that it's not butter," and "I believe in thrift store shopping sprees). The Cause of this might be because I kind of view my life as an art project of sorts, which has been a source of both criticism and praise for me as long as I can remember.

The background music however was also composed by me and is inspired by my hardcore awesomeness, which you can see because it is awesome.
