Wow look at this plane in an all blue sky! A completely clear day must have been very lucky!
Nope: here’s the reality:

A sky full of clouds, with the plane smack dab in the middle!

I found the serenity of this lake inspiring. Though a completely smooth lake is usually more associated with ‘serenity’, I find the serenity here is in the rhythm of the waves, which is why I attempted to communicate the movement of the water agains the shore in this photo.

This photo is a self-potrait to some degree. This is my childhood stuffed animal, and he has been through almost everything with me and my brother. His fur is matted an the plastic eyes have been cracked but not broken. I feel this is more interesting than just a photo of my own eyes. They say the eyes are the window to the soul. Some would argue an inanimate object cannot have soul, but I would argue against it. Their soul is the love we give them.

To celebrate the end of Finals season, I had some sparkling apple juice (as is tradition to celebrate in my family). The condensation on my glass really caught my attention, so I decided to take macro shots of it. It really is a wonder of water and the way that our universe works.

For this Photo, the visual weight is in the darkness and color, rather than physical mass. It’s also visually striking, the lone berry surrounded by the sea of leaves. I didn’t put a TON of though into this setup, just saw it as i was taking a walk to take another photo, and I know that I just NEEDED to take a photo.

I was feeling not-so-great this day, but I figured I’d try to capture it. Mostly, I was stressed about homework & getting things done of time, so I envisioned a full frame of the things that were overwhelming me to truly capture how well… overwhelmed I felt. I arranged actual assignments that I had due and allowed them to take up space to take this photo. (usually, I’m a fairly neat person).
