At the start of this semester we were doing a refresh on some of the photoshop skills which we have been building up over the course of freestyle. We were experimenting with what tools we had to make a sort of visual narrative with mixed media and photo blending.
Motion Graphics
Now this is freestyle academy we’re talking about so we cant settle with just an image to convey whatever message we are assigned to convey next, we gotta up the anti. Introducing motion graphics through After Effects. Now being done with this project and looking back at it, we beat that program to death. There was so much going on in each part of this project that it was a laggy mess by the time I had to export my work. Honestly this was a fun project to work on and I enjoyed much of the process and could see how this stuff we learn could come in use full in many creative mediums. Enough said, below is my motion graphics project.
Multi Layered Art Project
Taking our skills into the next project lands us back in the realm of illustrator. Moving on from non-conforming video mashups to a well put together still art piece. The goal for this project was to make a bunch of wood layers each cut out to fit the rest of the piece and end up with a three dimensional art piece that was laser cut and assembled. What follows is my process.
