I’ve learned that negative space is often used a lot in photography to make an object or character seem smaller to create the emotion of being alone. Through this learning experience, I took a photo of 2 dead flowers with nothing but a heavily contrasting plain background, so that even when you squint your eyes, you can certainly see the figure of the flowers. Using negative space taught me how to position objects and it’s importance in redefining rule of thirds.
