it's an all night party that we're getting into
This is a picture that I took of my friends CC, Ellie, and Elsa. In composing this photograph, I wanted to create some contrast between my models. By staging CC closer to the camera, I was able to give the effect that she was larger than Ellie and Elsa, who appear smaller in the frame.
I took this photo at the Field of Light in Paso Robles. For long exposure photography, it’s important to consider what you want your source of light to be. I thought this exhibit would be the perfect photo opportunity, as it is, quite literally, a field of light. The variety of colors also makes it an interesting photograph. I appreciate that this assignment is reflective of the New Year, as I think light symbolizes possibility and hope.
