While this isn’t a brand new photo (it was taken in April on tour in Switzerland), it really just felt like one that I had to use for this. It was created by using the timer feature on a phone, and really just shows this kind of look into the future perfectly. Not only because it’s some of my closest friends all looking onto the far horizon together during a beautiful sunset, but because the statue also somewhat reminds us of the past. But the past is looking away, just like the rest of us. Not only does it have a clear horizon-future-feel, but it has a sense of readiness. The statue is ready. The sun is ready. And we are ready.
