Center Frame Portrait

Rock in the middle of the landscape and has a bunch of rocks in the background that are blurry in the distance.
55mm, 4, f6.625 ,ISO 1600

The purpose of this photo was to create a center frame portrait that had an aspect of loneliness to it. So I look for objects around my home that I could do this with. Using rocks, I placed one rock very up close to the camera and put the rest of the rocks bunched up together. With the bunched up rocks I placed them in the far distance. This distance between the rock that is up close and the rocks that are far away show loneliness to me because we get to see the details of the rock that is closer for what it really is. The rocks in the background however are harder to define their details but have a sense of togetherness with them. Using the longer 55mm lense, it was helpful to create this field of depth that when looking at the photo, it would feel like the distance between the foreground and background was more dramatic.
