Fill the Frame

Posted on October 1, 2025October 5, 2025 by joshuac
Sign with words on it against wall with pinecones
55mm 1/10 f8.625 ISO 1600

Fill the Frame was the theme of this photo blog picture. The intention was the have a simple background and have very neutral colors. I used the 55mm lense because there was a table in the way and I couldn’t get the whole sign with the 50mm lense. The 55mm lense let me alter the perspective and depth of field so I could take this shot. The colors here are white, black, brown, and red. There were pinecones hiding behind the sign so I brought them out and placed them on each side to create balance in the overall composition of my photo. The main focus of my photo was to be the words written on the sign.
