Getting to look at plants gives me a sense of serenity because of how even though they are still and quiet, they are able to provide comfort. This particular plant invoked serenity because I liked how the plant’s leaves were designed to look like someone had painted on red-pink color at the end of each leaf. Despite the hot weather that this plant endured, it seemed no where near to drying up and I appreciated the plant’s resilience to keep living even when the conditions that it lived in can sometimes be extreme whether that means experiencing a lot of rain or dry weather for prolonged periods of time. I thought that using the 50mm lense would be useful for this picture as it was more a close up shot and it was really sunny outside so using lower ISO helped make sure that the picture wouldn’t appear to look like it was blasted with a ray of light.
