Within this photo, I decided to capture the prompt “water” using a leaf. I was inspired by my Mom’s favorite plant that sits next to her desk as I thought it could potentially be an effective subject for a photo. To get a desired amount of water droplets, I used a water spray bottle and tried to create smaller droplets and then a few bigger water droplets to be the main focus of this photo. At the place that I was taking this picture, it was also very dark so I had also asked for help from my brother to angle a flashlight onto the leaf which helpd me create more contrast with harsher shadows but also make the droplets have a slight shine to them. The longer lense from the camera kit was also helpful in taking this more close up shot of the water because I can alter the depth of field much easier with the longer lense in my opinion.
