For this assignment we were told to find a photo that gave us inspiration for the future. I took this photo of one of the last runs of our Hadestown show. In this scene, hades, being inspired by his own story being told by the main character, offers to dance with Persephone, with the rose Orpheus made from singing. They dance in a gorgeous scene and embrace each other, which is when I took this photo. I think that this photo is hope for the future, both in a meta sense as well because of the context of the story. On one hand these actors I expect to see on Broadway due to their phenomenal skill, on the other hand, the theme of this story is hope overall for the future, that despite the brutality of reality that because of our humanity that we will still be okay, and that is my hope for the future as well.
