Frame within the Frame

Frame within the Frame

For my frame-in-a-frame photo, I chose a photo of two of my friends standing in a frame. We saw this frame at the mall which is similar to the ones you put your head in and then there is the body of Superman below. So I thought this would be a perfect picture for this assignment because the two frames are very clearly shown.

Using Props

Using Props

For using props I chose me in a Santa outfit. I think this is a great use of props because you can’t even tell that’s me plus also using the pillows as y belly made it even more belive. I took this picture on the set of one of my friend’s movies, so technically the whole set was a prop. There were also many others dressed in outfits and had different props like wands and outfits.

Creative Staged + Depth of Field

Creative Staged + Depth of Field

For this picture, it is clear to see the depth of field because Im closer to the camera while the church is in the back. This creates a very nice depth of field which isolates me as a subject but still creates a nice background that contributes to the picture. I tried to stand not too close but also not too far from he church in order to create the best depth of field possible.

Viewpoint

Viewpoint

From a different point of view, I chose to take a picture of my friend’s dog. Her dog is super friendly and out of all her friends loves me the most. I think dogs have a different and unique view of the world and can see what some humans can’t. For example, dogs are much more loyal than humans and don’t let words get to them but actions do. I feel like more humans should be more like dogs in…

Color Theory

Color Theory

For this assignment, we were supposed to create an image that looked straight out of a movie. I chose this image with my friends because I thought it was a nice and fun image. I then changed it to look like it was out of a movie by adjusting the colors and adding filters so it would look retro. I think it turned out pretty good and overall I am very satisfied with the end result.

Rule of Odds

Rule of Odds

For the Rule of Odds picture, I was inspired by the rock picture shown in the example. I chose to do something similar by putting 3 pretzels together and taking a picture of them which shows the odd number with a solid background. looking at the picture now I probably should have taken the picture not sideways but horizontally. I am happy with how the picture turned out and I think the shadows add a nice touch. For this image,…

Rule of Thirds Emotion

Rule of Thirds Emotion

For this topic, I chose to take a picture of my little brother smiling in a rule of thrids framing. I think his emotion is very well portrayed in this photo and you can feel his happiness. I also tried to use the rule of thirds diagram as best as possible and tried to put his right eye on the intersection of the grid. For this image, I used an Aperture of 2.8, an ISO of 2500, and a Shutter…

Fill the Frame

Fill the Frame

For the fill the frame topic I chose to take a picture of a flower. I have always been super fascinated by close-up flower pictures because they look super intriguing. I chose to replicate one of these pictures but was unable to get as close to the flowers as I wanted. However, I think this picture captures the flower well and separates it from the background. I also think the light hits the flower really well and that also adds…

Facial Symmetry

Facial Symmetry

I think it is super interesting to see how different your face is. When you look at yourself in the mirror you don’t realize that one side is entirely different from the other. Everyone thinks that your body is the same on both sides which is entirely false. I also find it interesting that you can use photoshop and make yourself look different with little work. I also learned not to believe what I see online because anyone can do…
