Self Portrait

In this photo, where the assignment was to create a self portrait without showing your face. I wanted to really maximize the concept of not showing the face, or being turned away. So I designed this scene above which depicts me facing away from my food at a dinner table, leaving the plate empty for the viewer to interpret it more abstractly. What this scene represents about me is my desire to do and learn things beyond my grasp. A great majority of my time is spent learning skills that are far away from any other recreation that I’ve already been practiced in. So I represented this by showing myself facing towards the wonders outside of my reach, out of the window, and facing away from what I already have, the plate in front of me.
